eBay Tutorial

Step by Step eBay Tutorial

Follow the eBay tutorial below to learn how to easily and effectively upload and insert your images into an eBay tutorialauction.

Once you have logged in, you will find yourself at the "Account Manager" page. On this page, you will find all of the main and primary functions of the site.

Start by clicking the [Upload Images] button (pictured below). On this page, you can choose to upload 12, 24, 36 or 48 images at one time.

To upload, click the [Browse] button to locate the desired images on your computer.

You can choose to upload your image[s] to separate directories, which are created on the "Image Manager" page, using the "directory" option in each box, or you can choose "Upload directory", found above the box, and automatically upload all images into one directory, overiding each individual box choice. The "Caption" box allows you to rename the default image name supplied, if desired.

Once you have added the desired image[s] in the appropriate directory[ies], scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the button.

Once uploads are complete, you are sent to the "Image Manager" page. Here, you can view all of your uploaded folders and images. Once you choose a specific folder, you have a few options.

-The "link" box is the URL for the image.
-The "tag" box is the HTML code for the given image.
-The "rename" box is if you want to rename the image, while keeping the file extension the same.

You will be shown how to use the "link" or "tag" code in step 6.

The final stage is the uploading of your images to your ebay auction. If you want more than one image displayed, proceed to Option 1 of the eBay tutorial . If you want just a single image displayed, proceed to Option 2 of the eBay tutorial.

Option 1.

- Sign in with your ebay User ID and password.
- Choose your own selling format and click [continue].
- Select your category on the "category selection page" and then select your subcategory on the "subcategory page" and click [continue].
- This will take you to the "Describe your item" page, where you can add your own multiple images.
- Scroll down to the "Item Description" section and choose "Enter your own HTML."

- Insert your item description.
- From your "Image Manager" page, copy the tag of the desired image.

and Paste (Ctrl+V) here:

The one rule in doing this is to ensure that you insert a "line break" between each image. Hitting [Enter] will not properly space out your items; instead, this is done using basic HTML code. The HTML term, <br> represents a line break. Simply type in the <br> wherever you want a space. Pictured above is an example of what this should look like.

-Once this is complete, continue on through the final steps of listing your item, and you are done!

Option 2.

To upload 1 image into an ebay auction click the "Standard" option (pictured below), insert your description in the box provided and click [continue].

Scroll down to the "Add pictures" section and choose appropriate tab. Pictured below is the "Your own Web hosting tab".

Copy and paste the URL (link) of the desired image (found in your "Image Manager")to proceed (pic below).

Once this is complete, you can scroll down and choose to increase your item's visibility by choosing the "gallery" option and just re-copying and pasting the image you are using.
